Amazing Grace Equestrian

At Amazing Grace Equestrian we have the experience and the knowledge that comes with superior knowledge and training. Our trainer has over 45 years extensive combined experience riding, teaching, training, managing and showing to “A” Rated USEF Hunter/Jumper/Equitation disciplines. his experience combined with an extensive and diverse background in Dressage and AQHA, enables her to quickly pinpoint and communicate with her students and horses to solve the most complex issues both on the flat and over fences.

Not only do we teach them to ride well, but we desire to educate them to understand, feel and think for themselves to become truly effective riders and to develop a winner mentality…that in turn can positively influence and correctly train their horses.  Amazing Grace Equestrian believes that correct riding leads to happier horses and ponies and satisfied riders that results to be a win-win situation for all. We welcome any students at any level who loves horses, has a passion and a desire to learn to ride correctly whether for upper level competition or just for pleasure.  Amazing Grace Equestrian believes in developing a well rounded rider/person and that there is more to riding than just showing and believes that good riders need to possess great horsemanship.

Come ride with Amazing Grace Equestrian

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, Amazing Grace Equestrian can help you get to the next level.  Amazing Grace Equestrian lessons available at our facility in Longwood, Florida or at the convenience of your own home or barn.  Call (407) 618-3903 for Rates and to Schedule your Initial consultation with Amazing Grace Equestrian.

So, you’re riding a horse. Maybe you even have your own horse. Lucky you! Do you realize that the first time you rode him or led him from point A to point B—even if it was simply from the doorway of the barn to the cross-tie station—you also instantly gained a new role in life? You are now a horse trainer! Every time you interact with your horse, you’re training him. Every time you walk up to him in his stall or pasture or snap a lead to his halter, you’re teaching him something. And he’s teaching you too. Your horse is a people trainer!

At Amazing Grace Equestrian we want you to be safe while riding. Consider this: Horses are big, powerful animals. Whenever possible, stay where your horse can see you. Never walk behind your horse. Walk around in front of him. If you have to be out of his sight but close to him, talk to him so he knows where you are. As you move to where he may not be able to see you, run your hand down his side to let him know where you’re going. When working with his head, stand on his left (as a horse trainer, you should know that his left side is referred to as his nearside), in line with his ear and on an angle. He can see you best there, and you can move away easily if something startles him. Never stand directly in front of your horse, and never kneel or sit on the floor around him. If you have to work on his legs or hooves, bend rather than squat.
